Rivke is the sister of Shani - another Mourninglight(tm) . They were adopted from NSAL in 1992. So they were sisters literally & figuratively. More important they were our first furbabies for me and my hubby.
We suspect Shani was the runt - didn't meow until 6 mths of age. Plus she was full of life. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 16 1/2 yrs. which itself was a miracle - being blessed with 18 mths that we were told we didn't have.
As for Rivke, she was our Baby Mama. She took care of all of us, especially her sister. Fact is, Rivke would barely eat wet food - ate dry - until Shani crossed over.
Rivke crossed over to join her sister a few weeks short of her 23rd birthday. She hung around taking care of my hubby while I was in and out of the hospital. G-D Bless them.
