In June 2016, we rescued Keno one day before she was to be euthanized. She was 16 years old, diabetic and had been owner surrendered. Animal Care and Control did not deem her adoptable, but fortunately, we found out about her and paid her a visit. Within seconds, my husband and I looked at each other and said, “We’ll take her”.
Sweet Keno found her place in our household of four other cats and she came to be very closely bonded with my husband. She became “his cat” and spent many happy moments on his lap or at his feet. Because of her close brush with death, we called her Lucky Keno, but really we were the lucky ones to share our home and hearts with this lovely old lady cat for 22 months.
Unfortunately, over time, Keno was diagnosed with several other illnesses and at the age of 18, it was time to help her journey to her tenth and final life.
Keno, we love you and we will never forget you, Our Golden Angel.
